The SEO Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of SEO projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and with measurable outcomes. This role requires expertise in SEO best practices, project management, and team leadership, and it is ideal for an organized, goal-oriented individual who can balance multiple client projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with internal teams and clients.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and timelines for SEO campaigns, monitoring milestones, and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Coordinate with SEO analysts, content creators, web developers, and other team members to ensure timely project execution.
  • Oversee on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies, guiding team members to optimize content, structure, and performance.
  • Manage relationships with clients, providing regular updates, gathering feedback, and ensuring alignment with their goals.
  • Conduct regular site audits and performance analysis, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring issues are addressed.
  • Track and report on SEO metrics (organic traffic, ranking, conversions, etc.), analyzing the effectiveness of campaigns and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance and identify SEO opportunities for clients.
  • Collaborate with content and marketing teams to ensure SEO strategies are aligned with broader marketing goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, tools, and algorithm changes, adapting strategies to maintain client rankings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SEO project management or digital marketing, with a proven track record in managing SEO campaigns.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) and project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and client management skills, with experience explaining technical SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data, interpreting key performance metrics, and presenting insights.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, ScrumMaster) is a plus.
  • Experience in managing paid search (PPC) or broader digital marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and website analytics tools.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website structure.
